After being asked numerous times by various clients and consumers who wonder what cockroach poop looks like, I have decided to write a pest control blog. Being a local pest control company, we encounter many questions, but one we receive more than others are. What does cockroach poop look like? Cockroach Droppings Identification


Cockroaches defecate numerous feces droppings wherever they frequent. With uncontrollable bowels, any surface they walk on will be contaminated with waste. The type of cockroach and size will determine what the cockroach poop will resemble. For the most part, cockroach poop looks like small coffee grounds, tiny specks of dark pepper, or even blackish brown grains of rice. The size of cockroach poop will vary depending upon the size and species of the cockroaches. German cockroach poop will be much small than American cockroaches | Palmetto bugs. Juvenile cockroaches will also have smaller droppings than adults.




How Do I Know If I Have A Cockroach Problem?

Cockroach egg casings, also known as Ootheca, look like pill-shaped capsules. The female cockroaches deposit the cockroach egg casings, which will hatch to reveal cockroach nymphs soon. Discarded cockroach egg casings typically have already hatched, resulting in the start of a cockroach infestation.
